Have you ever wondered what happens to your general waste that can’t be recycled after it is collected for disposal? Or have you ever wondered how we use that rubbish to generate electricity?  Come along and discover all these things and more at our Newhaven Energy Recovery Facility ‘Waste & Recycling Wonder Open Day’ on Tuesday 4th April 10am – 3pm.

Guided tours will be running throughout the day with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discover how we transform waste into enough electricity to power 25,000 homes continuously.  Wonder Day tours must be pre-booked by calling: 01273 511324 where specific arrival and clothing instructions will be given.
