Veolia’s Environmental Services top tips for a green Valentines are:
- REDUCE - Reduce the amount of waste you create by using a reusable gift bag for that romantic present
- REUSE - Get creative and make a Valentines Day card out of reused materials or a bouquet of roses out of old plastic bags
- RECYCLE - Valentines cards, wrapping paper and cardboard packaging can all be recycled from home
Martin Benson, Household Waste Recycling Sites Manager at Veolia says: “Our aim is to encourage everyone in the county and city to do their bit and love their local environment. Valentines Day is a time for roses and romance and a great opportunity to reduce, reuse and recycle too all of which you can do at your local Household Waste Recycling Site!”
